Wilson Wetlands - Edmiston Spring Volunteer Day

Join JHTU and friends next Saturday, October 17th to enhance habitat for native cutthroat trout in a Wilson neighborhood stream!

 

We will be working on the "Wilson Wetlands Trail" stretch between Hungry Jack's and Owen Bircher Park from 9 am to 12:30 pm as part of the Edmiston Spring Project.

 

WHERE: Wilson Wetlands Trail between Hungry Jack’s and Owen Bircher Park
PARKING/MEETUP/BRIEFING: Owen Bircher Park pavilion at 9 am
WHO: Community members and families interested in helping out the “next generation” of native trout in the Fish Creek watershed!
WHAT TO BRING:  long sleeves, work gloves, rubber boots (if available), sun hat, sunscreen, water, weather-appropriate layers (coffee and snacks provided)
YOUR MISSION: cutting willow poles with loppers and hand saws, creating willow bundles with twine, and placing bundles in the creek to soak
