Stand Up for Public Lands

Our public lands that sustain wildlife, provide world-class outdoor recreation, and define the natural beauty of the West are facing a serious threat. A proposal under consideration in the U.S. Senate would have forced the sale of up to 3 million acres of public land managed by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management across 11 western states, including right here in Wyoming. Though the effort has been stalled by the Senate Parliamentarian’s ruling. Senator Lee (UT) has promised to try “a new plan” to privatize public lands.

Public lands sustain our communities, protect our wildlife, and hold the stories of generations who’ve explored them. They are where we fish, hunt, hike, and find connection with nature and each other. They protect our cold, clean water and provide critical habitat for fish and wildlife. These places are not only part of our identity, but they are also our shared responsibility.

Now is the time to act. Please contact your Senators and urge them to oppose any proposal that would dispose of public lands in the budget process and defend America’s public lands for future generations.
