In a virtual meeting on August 12, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Commercial Fishing Boat Advisory Board agreed on several department recommendations to address concerns about fees, reporting, and boat registration. Board members reviewed public comments gathered throughout the state. The board agreed on keeping fees at the lowest feasible level while still covering administrative costs. The board also discussed several solutions to issues raised by the public and members of the outfitting community, including regarding registration, decal transferability, and documentation. The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission recently voted to approve these updated regulations at their meeting in Lander on September 10th.
