Free Stream Thermometers Available for Anglers

As a responsible angler, you can help our native cutthroat trout beat the heat by adjusting your practices when stream temperatures rise above 65 degrees. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has created

for fishing during the heat of summer. One recommendation is to carry a pocket thermometer so you know when threshold temperatures have been reached. This summer, TU will be giving away a number of stream thermometers for free to anglers - look for them at the WGFD office, JD High Country Outfitters, Orvis JH, and other fly shops, and TU booths at events, or contact us if you would like to pick up one at the office.
